Falling in love is the easy part. What matters most is what happens next…
Fisher and Ivy have been an item for a whole nineteen days. And they just know they are meant to be together. The fact that they know little else about each other is a minor detail. Over the course of twelve months, in which their lives will change forever, Fisher and Ivy discover that falling in love is one thing, but staying there is an entirely different story.
The Two of Us is a charming, honest and heart-breaking novel about life, love, and the importance of taking neither one for granted.
A big thank you to Hayley at Simon & Schuster for sending me a copy to review
Andy Jones has created a story that is honest, heartfelt and real.
The characters, their feelings and problems are things people face daily and yet amidst if all is something that pulls you in and has you turning the pages eager for more.
Fisher and Ivy are wonderful characters to discover and discover them, we do!
The duo face a lot within the pages and by the end of the book, it feels like you are waving goodbye to old friends.
I loved the little discoveries that they made about each other and I had to laugh at how Ivy deals with her books.
The truth is, I loved this book but for me the subplot with Fisher and his best friend El, was what pulled me in deeper.
El was at times bitterly truthful but there was no denying the history and love he and Fisher share.
One of the most poignant and thought provoking moments in the story comes from Craig, even now I keep replaying it over in my head.
Jones has poured heart and soul into his words and that is evident throughout, the emotions are constant, be it laughter or hurt, you will experience it all as you journey through the pages.
The Two of Us is a beautiful read about love, friendship and life!
