On the 8th of September my mum and I checked into the Village Hotel and Spa in Bournemouth, the weekend would’ve been my parents 39th wedding anniversary and since it would be our first without dad we decided to have a break and get in some quality mum and daughter time.
Village Hotel Bournemouth is a stylish hotel with excellent facilities. It offers a modern health club with a gym and a pool, along with a great pub and grill restaurant and a Starbucks.
The rooms available are standard or club, with the standard room offering:
COMFY DOUBLE BED FOR 2
And club rooms including:
FLATSCREEN TV & FULL SKY HD
EXTRA COMFY DOUBLE BED FOR 2
FREE ACCESS TO VILLAGE GYM (NORMALLY £5)
TASSIMO COFFEE MACHINE
On arrival at the hotel we accepted a welcome glass of bubbly and proceeded to check ourselves in on the touchscreen, this is a great way of allowing customers to check in and charge up their room key, and don’t worry if you should run into any issues as staff are always near by to lend a helping hand.
After checking in, which took a matter of seconds we headed up to our club room on the fourth floor and was greeted by a wonderful room which featured a large flatscreen TV, comfy looking bed and a very inviting shower,
We headed to the ground floor and into the Victory Pub and Kitchen.
On Fridays the Village Hotel chain offers Burger Me
Grab a beef burger for £1 every Friday in the Village Pub with any beverage purchase. Available from 5pm to 7.30pm. Add fries for a £1, double up for £1 and add toppings from 75p. Head down to your local Village to take advantage!
My only concern was that as a coeliac I wouldn’t be able to take part in the offer but thankfully they were able to offer gluten free bread. Which meant that I was able to eat a burger sandwich and chips for £2, leaving more money for some cheeky alcoholic beverages,
My favourite being the Pornstar Martini
If you’re feeling a little fruity, give this sexy star of the cocktail world an audition. Satisfaction guaranteed!
Vanilla vodka, Bols passion fruit liqueur, passion fruit juice, lime juice
The cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced at £4.95. A hit with both mum and I.
The next morning:
After a night in the most luxurious bed I have ever slept in, I woke up ready to explore Bournemouth and indulge in some spa treatments. But before we headed anywhere else it was time to test out the Tassimo and enjoy a cuppa for me and coffee for mum.
After a hit of caffeine we headed out for our spa treatments…..
