As you know I adore Christmas movies and I am sure you’ve guessed from the books that I have reviewed that I am a sucker for romance. This combination has often meant that my imagination would runaway with me, which means that I have been known to daydream about being loved up during the festive period. My mind has played out all sorts of scenerios and taunted me with things that have never happened to me.
Some of my daydreams:
Wandering around the German Market hand in hand, stopping to pause at the christmas trees and lights. Enjoying each others company as the night sky turns the air even colder and later feeling the warmth of him as he wraps his arms around me and makes me want to lock the memory of the night away forever.
Sitting together wrapping Christmas presents whilst listening to Christmas music and laughing as we share Christmas memories.
Riding a horse-drawn carriage around central park and taking in the picturesque setting of New York at Christmas. His arm around me and my head on his shoulder as I gaze at the beauty around and feel my heart swell with love and contentment.
The truth is I have always found Christmas a magical time but movies and books seem to depict the romance of the season and I guess that has always captured my imagination… sharing the build up to the season with the one you love, having dates that allow you to soak up the festive atmopshere, spending time with friends snd family as a couple and finally waking up next to each other on Christmas day… these are the things I have always wondered about…
