Paperclip: making your own marketplace

I recently discovered an app that allows you to buy, sell and trade items. An app that is a marketplace within your mobile phone. Fans of eBay and Facebook selling pages will love this new way of getting bargains and selling off unwanted items.

What the website says:

Instantly explore thousands of items for sale around you. Once you’ve found something you like, why not make an offer? This could be an item swap, a cash bid, or a combination of both.

When you first access Paperclip, you have the option to set the distance you are prepared to travel.  As well as filter the items into the categories that you would like. Once you find an item that you want to make an offer for you can contact the seller with a question or make a bid. It is in this section that you can offer cash, a trade or both. There are rarely prices on the items, just bid what you are prepared to pay and wait to see if your offer is accepted. Remember there is always room for negotiation from both the seller and the buyer.

If you want to sell an item on Paperclip all you have to do is take a photo, give your item a name, and place the advertisement. Within seconds you could be receiving offers.

The unique thing about Paperclip is the marketplace. Where you can buy, sell, swap and freecycle with people in your community. Here you can create marketplaces for your friends and family. You can even join ones based on your hobbies and interests. Not sure if you will find what you are looking for then why not add and item request to the marketplace.

Paperclip, the marketplace in the palm of your hand.
