As a blogger, I am often asked what equipment I use when capturing images for Luv and lifestyle and its social media channels. I prefer to stick to a minimalistic kit so that I am not weighed down when attending events. I find that there is nothing worse than being in a bustling room and worrying about where you will put all of your equipment.
My photography essentials
This was by far one of my best Christmas presents. Having researched cameras and wanting the ability to change the lenses but not carry around the bulk that tends to come with a DSLR I found a happy medium in this mirrorless camera and I LOVE IT. This 24.2 MP camera comes with a built-in touchscreen, wifi and tilt screen function making it everything I could want in a camera. I have a few lenses on my wishlist but that is the great thing with this camera, it can grow with me as my needs change.
When it comes to the Apple vs Android debate I am very much on team Apple. In fact, I often wonder if there will ever be a phone that will change this. The iPhone 8 Plus like its predecessor comes with a DSLR camera function which is honestly one of the main reasons behind why I love this phone. This enables me to capture great quality images when I am out without my professional camera.
This little light is a great addition to my kit, especially for low light situations. With three different brightness settings and a rechargeable battery I honestly cannot recommend this product enough. In fact, I am now saving for a bigger version to help with a studio style setup at home.
Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod – Black
When out an about I like the portability of this mini tripod, It secures the camera and offers a good grip when in use. I would say that most bloggers would class this as a key part of their kit when out and about.
Hama “Star 75 Camera Tripod”
This bigger tripod is what I use when at home and working on key images. With its 3D tilted head, it allows the photography to perfectly align the shot.
So there you have it, my current photography kit and what I use to create my imagery.
