Wok to Walk
Wok to Walk has arrived in Birmingham, located on 109 New Street, B2 4EU.
With nearly 100 restaurants around the globe, this chain is certainly making a name for its self. This unique concept restaurant has a small seating area should you choose to eat in, However, the majority of orders are of course to take away. Customers can use the three-step menu to create their meal, allowing them to choose exactly what goes into their food.

How to place your order

  1. First, choose the base of your dish from a choice of noodles or rice (£3.90).
  2. Secondly, choose your additional ingredients from a selection of meat and vegetables (prices vary).
  3. Lastly choose your sauce from a selection including sweet and sour, and teriyaki.

Planning your meal

With a vast variety of fresh ingredients, you will be stuck for choice when it comes to placing your order. Even people like myself with dietary requirements will find that they have options. Although I will admit that as a chicken fanatic it was disappointing to discover this was wasn’t an option for me. But thankfully the beef was

As I worked my way along the dietary list picking out what I wanted It was great to see that I didn’t have just one base to choose from. With rice noodles and rice both being on offer.
Once I had selected my base and all other ingredients I then got to witness my dish come together. I thought this was a great touch. Since becoming a coeliac, I panic about cross contamination and this helped put my mind at ease. Plus it was great fun watching how high the flames got!

What amazed me the most is how much you get for your money, The orange cartons come packed full of the food you have selected. You can also help yourself to a sachet of soy sauce to add a salty kick to your dish should you wish to do so (not GF)

The team at Wok to Walk are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, after all, they managed to feed this fussy coeliac.

The restaurant is already a big hit and I can see it taking even bigger strides with the Birmingham food industry. Not only do you get to specify your dish but you can also choose from an array of drinks from fresh orange to soft drinks.

And with the venue staying open until late I can see it attracting party goers and businessmen alike.
